With Autumn Aurora we feel that we have a genuine contender for silverware. She is a filly whose mother was a Group class performer no less, being second in the Group 2 Premio Regina Elena (1000 Guineas) in Italy and a winner of 6 races between 2 and 5 years in both Italy and the USA. Additionally, she is also the dam of six winners from 7 foals including the massively successful Cosmo Phantom who won a colossal £1.7m in Japan and Sergeant Titanium who amassed £772,000 in Hong Kong. If even a sprinkling of the stardust should settle on our filly we should be delighted.
Her sire is a sprint king Buratino who won the Group 2 Coventry stakes at Royal Ascot as a 2yr old in a time faster than Calyx. We should say that Buratino is from the family of Exceed and Excel, who was the champion sprinter in Australia. 2020 is not only the start of a new decade but will be the first season that Buratino’s offspring see a racetrack and we will be among that exclusive group. We anticipate Autumn Aurora racing over 6f initially possibly in May or June and we are excited that she will be eligible for Plus 10 races which award an additional £10,000 to the winner. If that wasn’t enough, she will be eligible for the £150,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes held at Newmarket and she could potentially be well handicapped. She is big and strong, and we could not be more happy!
